Whoa! I'm halfway through my first week of school, and I'm busier than I've been since... March? I even woke up at 5:30 today to fit a run in (it was only a tiny run, but still. Did I mention I've been on running hiatus? Nothing since my PW Percy Sutton 5k. A lot of hikes while camping and long walks with the dog, but no running.) School isn't hard so far, exactly, because there's not a lot of reading or outside work, but because I'm in a program that focuses on East Asian medicine it's kind of overwhelming to absorb all of the new, totally foreign information being presented.
[Sidenote: My lender seems to be fine with the whole reaffirmation thing; they're continuing to process it internally and told me they'd be sending the letter shortly, so I'm no longer stressing my financial aid.]
Today was the first day of Tai Chi.
Listen, there's a reason I do solitary endurance sports. For one, I'm not coordinated. For another thing, I can't remember instructions beyond "Lift your feet" or "Turn the pedals." That's probably why my swim is so slow (yeah, that's it, not that I've swum less than 10,000 yards all year! Ha!) This whole Tai Chi thing is way too close to choreographed dances for me, but I think I'm getting it, clumsily. And I'm getting graded??!! Dear God.
Anyway, there's that, and I interviewed at a retailer earlier this week in hopes of starting a part-time gig (and scoring employee discounts on some sweet sweet gear) so there's a potential that I'll have no free time at all in the near future. This means I probably won't blog. Don't cry! I still love you. And will probably compulsively read your pearls of bloggy wisdom way past my bedtime. But wish me luck on the retail thing! I want new stuff for cheap...
Oh, P.S., the toe! So not broken. But so bruised. It felt a lot better the day after I posted that, but it's still all purple. Sexaaayyyyyy....
I'm glad you were able to get out for a run and your toe is feeling better. You should post a picture of all the purpleness! :)
